Lists aquatic and invasive plants in Florida.  Excellent pictures and line drawings of plants, rights to drawings can be purchased, but all can be viewed on line free of charge.  Excellent site covers terrestrial invasives as well. A commercial web site with a lot of advertising, and a search feature.  Site has good short articles about specific gardening and flower topics, and it links into University web sites. Good for current events activities. (9-12 grades) Date visited 11/15/03

Instructional information of how to do many tasks related to horticulture.  Lots of short articles on specific topics, and the topic base is very wide. Very nice section on this web-page about herbs and spices.  The articles in this site are at a good reading level for students.  Excellent site for adding reading and writing into the classroom curriculum.(9-12 grade level) Date visited -10/22/03 (Better choice than industry magazines, reading level is to high for many students, and the vocabulary is too difficult)

This site provides information about animal and plant health and protecting American agriculture from pests and diseases introduced from other countries.  Current updates and areas of concern are addressed.  A great place to keep updated on current technology and prevention methods.
