Class Wiki

We will be constructing a Class Wiki as a group project. Follow the directions below to get you to the Wiki Web site. Once on the Web site, you will see the definition of the wiki, as well as "how tos" for constructing it.

This will be an ongoing class project. You should log on to the Wiki by the beginning of the second week of class (mid-way through module one) and expect to research/write/edit until the end of module 5.

The topic of the Wiki will be to find relevant information on the Web regarding learning theories and their impact for online instructional design. We will be exploring information related to Behavioral, Cognitive, Social, Psychological, and Constructivist learning theories.

Your grade for this assignment will follow the rubric below. Posting for the five topics will be scored by your task completion which is a post (edit) on the Wiki in each of the areas. Questions are expected and a separate Class Discussion has been set up to address any questions or technical challenges.

Directions to the Class Wiki

  1. Go to URL HERE
  2. Read the entire Wiki content first.
  3. Research the topics presented. (You will be adding background information on the topics as well as describing direct applications to the Wiki).
  4. When ready to add information to the Wiki, you will have to Log into the Wiki.

To Log into the Wiki

  1. At  URL HERE, you will see at the top of the Wiki several items.
  2. Click on "Log in."
  3. Enter the following information: Your name, Your email address, and the Password for the Wiki = password here
  4. Click "Log in."
  5. Now you are ready to edit. At the bottom left hand corner you will see a blue tab "Edit Page." Click the tab to edit.
  6. Enjoy researching and helping us to create the OTL Class Wiki!!!
