Lauren Dundes teaches the introductory sociology course, criminology and criminal justice, and medical sociology.  Her research interests include the analysis of Disney films and crime.  Outside of the classroom, she enjoys gardening and traveling.

Roxanna Harlow teaches courses in Race and Ethnicity, Sociology of Education and introductory sociology. Her research interests are in the areas of race and ethnicity and the sociology of education. When she has time away from academic stuff, she enjoys vegging out in front of the t.v., reading fiction, playing a little basketball, and going out dancing.

Debra Lemke

Debra Lemke teaches introductory sociology, sociological theory, social stratification, and gender roles.  Her research interests include attitudes toward homelessness, Alzheimer's disease caregivers, and college pedagogy.  When she is not meeting with students or filling out paperwork, she enjoys previewing movies for the Theory course, parenting and people watching.

Jean Shin teaches courses in urban sociology, cultural anthropology, the sociology of work, and technology and social change. He also holds research interests in work and occupations, college pedagogy, and race/ethnic relations. Outside of WMC, Dr. Shin enjoys playing tennis, being a fan of college athletics, and traveling around the U.S. His research explores work alienation in the post-industrial U.S. labor force.

Joining us in Fall 2005, Dr. Linda Semu teaches courses in Urban Sociology and Introduction to Global Societies, and has research and teaching interests in Social Change, International Development, Globalization, Gender, Comparitive Studies/Africa, Family, Social Policy, Social Demography, and Political Sociology. For fun Dr. Semu enjoys walking, listening to music, and following news in print and electronically.
