1. Revise the following sentence for an informal style. Choose the sentence that best incorporates the necessary changes to style and maintains the original meaning of the sentence.

For a frog, the act of leaping at the wrong moment can result in finding oneself in the digestive tract of a large fish.

(A) The act of leaping at the wrong moment can land one in the digestive tract of a large fish for a frog.
(B) According to frogs, the act of leaping at the wrong moment can result in digestion by a fish.
(C) For a frog, leaping at the wrong moment can lead to being digested by a large fish.
(D) The act of leaping at the wrong moment, frogs might want to know, can result in digestion by a large fish.

2. Go to the Salt Lake Tribune Online and read the first sentence of the article, Memorial Day Camping. (http://www.sltrib.com/outdoors/ci_2744450).

Choose the best way to revise the sentence without changing its meaning.

Camping...
(A) could be iffy --if not impossible-- in some popular U. S. Forest Service facilities due to Utah's wet, late spring for the Memorial Day.
