Below are two newsletters to which I've found subscription worthwhile.

NCTE Inbox - http://www.ncte.org/forms/lists/inbox.asp

"NCTE Inbox " arrives via email and includes resources and news in the field of English. Produced by the National Council of Teachers of English, the newsletter contains ideas for lessons, helpful links, and news from sources such as USA Today. Recent issues have frequently featured the new SAT--how to prepare students, how they are performing, etc. I often find this weekly e-publication useful.

K-12 Newsletters - http://www.edu-cyberpg.com/Community/K12Newsletters.html

"K-12 Newsletters" is not as professional or as focused at the NCTE newsletter, but it does provide a good variety of useful information when you have time to browse the links. In one quick read through a recent issue, I learned about dinosaurs, woodpeckers, Wi-Fi, and copyright law.
