Below is a list of
websites that correlate to one of the five second grade math units. The links include math games that allow
you to practice skills/concepts that have been taught in class. The list has been divided into five
categories: Unit 1 Place Value and
Graphing, Unit 2 Geometry and Patterns, Unit 3 Addition and Subtraction, Unit 4
Measurement and Fractions, and Unit 5 Multiplication/Division and Money.
Read the description of
each site to decide if that’s where you would like to visit.

Unit
1: Place Value and Graphing
Place Value Puzzler – This game is
located on the funbrain site! In this game, you will identify place
value positions of the 1’s, 10’s, 100’s, and
1,000’s. The player is able
to choose the challenge level. By

Bugs in the
System – This site was developed by the Educational Broadcasting
System. Help clean the room of bugs

What’s the Point?
– At this funbrain math site, you can identify
a pair of points that match the coordinate graph. There are four choices, so choose
carefully! The player can make the
game harder by clicking on harder.
The harder version adds negative coordinates. This is an accelerated game for second
graders! Date visited –

Do
the Math - Hope you’re concentrating!! In the game you will be identifying
polygons. Match the name of the
polygon with the illustration. See
how quickly you can make matches because you’re being timed! Date visited –

Polygons – What type of
polygon is it? That’s the
question you will be answering when you play this timed game. You have to know attributes of polygons
ranging from triangles to decagons.
Check out your score when you’re done. Play again and see if you can beat your
score! Date visited –

Mixed Fractions with
Circles – This game is similar to the one above. This time you are identifying mixed
numbers, like 2 ½ and 1 ¾. Identify the whole number, the
numerator and the denominator. Once
again, if an answer is incorrect click on explain. This is a challenge for second grade because

Second Grade Math Lessons
– On the aaamath website you can go to the
topic of your choice. There is
practice for ordinal numbers, division, measurement, time, patterns, and
