Before using the internet to help us in school, you must first know how to use it appropriately.

Here is a checklist of things you must do as a responsible student:

1. I will use the internet only to help me gain more information about a topic we are learning in school.

2. I know that my teacher will be closely watching how I am using the internet.

3. Using the internet is a privilege, so I need to follow my teacher’s directions and visit the sites that I am supposed to. If I do not follow the directions, I will lose the privilege of using the internet.

4. I will keep my personal information like my name, age, and where I live to myself. If I would like to share it with someone, I must first ask my teacher. If I am allowed to communicate with someone, I will be respectful.

5. If at anytime I have a problem with using the internet, the computer, or I am upset by something I see while using the internet I will immediately tell my teacher.

6. I will always be respectful with the school equipment.

Now that I have read the expectations, I understand that I need to follow them to safely use the internet.
