Below are six websites that have a selection of lesson plans for primary grades (K-2).

 

 

A to Z Teacher Stuff – Many of the lesson plans provided by this website can be correlated to the MCPS K-2 curriculum.  You can choose which subject to explore, and on each subject page there is a brief description of each lesson.  Many of these lesson ideas could be used as supplemental activities, center activities, or culminating activities.

ABCteach – This site not only provides lesson plans and activity ideas for primary grades, it also has a ton of free printable pages and worksheets.  In addition, users can make their own documents to correspond with their own lesson ideas.

The Lesson Plans Page – This link has a variety of lesson plans.  To find exactly what you need simply select the grade level and then the subject.  On the subject page, the lesson plans are categorized further.  For example, math lessons are grouped into categories like addition and subtraction, graphing and mapping, as well as place value.

The Educator’s Reference Desk – Teachers can search for specific lessons for certain grade levels.  Just indicate a topic and check a specific grade level.  The search will uncover any lessons that fit your search criteria.

PBS TeacherSource – Teachers can find activities for K-2 that relates to PBS kid shows like Arthur.  Not only are their lesson plan ideas for teachers, but teachers can locate ideas for parents to use at home with their children.
