The Water Cycle

Without water, we could not live. It is important to every aspect of our lives.  Without water, we would have no food to eat, no trees, no fish.  Think about it.  Can you think of anything that doesn’t rely on water in some way?  We will discuss your ideas in class later.

There is only so much water on the earth.  Why doesn’t the earth run out of water?  Go to the EPA website to learn about the water cycle.

When you are finished, print this page and complete the following glossary by writing in the definition.

In the diagram below, use the above terms to show where and what the events are in the water cycle.  Where would an aquifer be?  Where would transpiration take place?  You can just write words, or you can draw pictures to show the process.
