When you get older, you will basically look like a bigger size of what you now look like.
Why does a baby caterpillar end up looking like a totally different animal, a beautiful butterfly?
Visit  http://www.earthsbirthday.org/butterflies/activitykit/2.html to learn all about the Painted
Lady butterfly  (Vanessa cardui).  Pay close attention to the section entitled "The Wonderful
Painted Lady Butterfly."

Now you are going to show what you have learned by making your own life cycle book.
  1. Get some blank sheets of paper.
  2. Draw one picture on each page showing a stage of the life cycle.
  3. Label each picture.
  4. Write 3 (or more) sentences on each page to explain what happens in that stage of the life cycle.
  5. Make a cover for your book, too.
  6. Your pages should be stapled in the order of the life cycle stages.
  7. You will share your books with your classmates.
If you are unsure of what to do, click here to see an example of what your book could look like.
