Elective #4 – Lesson Plans
Here
is a list of the websites that I found to be the most beneficial. I teach 6th
and 7th grade Language Arts. The websites are listed in order from
best to worst.
1.
Lesson Plans Page – This website
is very easy to navigate. You can search lesson plans by subject and grade
level. Lesson plans were clearly organized by sub-content areas of Language
Arts. After reviewing a lesson plans, you are able to email the teacher who
wrote it through a contact link on the lesson plan page.

2.
Teachers – This website allows you to
search for lesson plans only by subject or age, not both. When you search by
subject, you can see the age level in parenthesis after the title of each
lesson plan. This website contains hundreds of lesson plans and you can submit
plans that you have written.

Edhelper – This website provides lesson
plans for literary units, seasonal themes, and daily lesson plans. You can also
find links to make your own visual aids and print already make worksheets to go
with the lessons. This site is very easy to use. If you become a member, you
can print stories and tests for comprehension along with any other available
worksheets.

4.
The Teachers Corner – This
website uses categories and then sub-categories to organize its lesson plans.
For example, I went to reading and then to the sub-category parts of speech to
find lesson plans. This site also provides us with links to other sites for
further resources.

5.
A to Z Teacher Stuff – When
searching for lesson plans on this website, you are able to specify subject and
grade level to narrow your search. Some of the lessons seem good but there is a
very small selection on this website.

6.
Lesson Plan Search – This
website is more like a search engine for lesson plans. It links to other site
to provide you with lessons. I did see some lessons that I had found on the
websites listed above.

7.
Teach-nology - This is another web
portal for teachers. It works like a search engine to lesson plans.

THE
WORST SITE =
Col-Ed - This website is the worst b/c it is
a short list of lesson plans and is not very attractive. Some of the lessons
plan pages are very wide so you have to scroll right and left continuously to
read the lesson plan.
