Monsoons of India

Objective:  To discover information about the geography of India and how the topography and climate affects the economy of the people in this country by completing a map activity and a short response.

There are many parts that make up the landscape of India.  The physical features of the land combined with the weather extremes must affect the people and how they live.  In India temperatures can reach as high as 120 degrees and the monsoon season can dump over 125 inches of rain on these people in three months of the year.  You will complete a map of India which shows various geographic landmarks as well as the monsoon winds.

2. Does the monsoon affect all of India, or is part of it affected more/less?

3.  Are there glaciers in India?  Describe

4.  How does India use water to conquer the landscape?
