Landform Review

Macmillan/McGraw-Hill Science Grade 3

In Chapter 6 of our science book, we have been focusing on the features of our Earth's surface.  We have explored mountains, hills, plateaus, mesas, valleys, sand dunes, and plains.  This activity will give you a chance to review what you have learned about landforms and show me your understanding.

Use the following link to our Macmillan/McGraw-Hill Science book to complete the steps below.

http://www.mhschool.com/science/2005/student/level2.php?isbn=002281213X&level1=C&level2=6

1.  Begin by reading the Lesson Summary under Chapter 6: Forces that Shape the Land.

2.  Use the glossary to look up any terms that you do not understand.

3.  Go back to the Chapter 6 main page by using the back button.

4.  Complete the Lesson Review and check it.

5.  Go back and reread the summary or use your science book to check any questions that you missed.

6.  Use KidPix to illustrate two of the landforms that you have learned about.  Use a text box and write a clear description of each landform on your illustrations.

7.  Print out each illustration and turn them into Mrs. Vilella.

Keep up the great work!
