Introduction

Have you ever been afraid to come to school because of a bully?  If so, you are not alone!  Did you know that one out of four students report that they have been a victim of a bully?  A bully is someone who hurts another person on purpose by using abusive words, by excluding others, or by physical threats or violence.  If this is happening to you or someone you know it could lead to depression, low self-esteem, and truancy.  As serious and damaging as bullying is, most victims do not report it.  Most are afraid that no one will be able to help or that it will only make the situation worse.  Teachers, parents and kids must join together and take action to stop bullying.
