Introduction:

We are asked to create rubrics for a variety of reasons in our classroom instruction.  Rubrics can be used to assess almost anything, from student writing, to a science project, to classroom behavior. It is one of the best tools for student assessment, because it provides a way for the student to know what is expected of them, and it also provides a quick, easy, and fair way for a teacher to evaluate student assignments, projects, behavior, etc. Some teachers may not be aware of some of the online resources available to them in creating a rubric.
