1.      Rain Forest Action Network: Kids’ Corner:  This site has many great links for kids and teachers studying the rain forest.  There are links to general fact sheets, rain forest animals, plants, and people, a slide show, activities, other teacher resources, and much more.   1. Science in the Rain Forest:  This particular site has a great tour of the rain forest…you may choose from monkeys, night life, habitats, plants, or birds for a walking tour of pictures. Several related links are provided by PBS with more information on the rain forest. The Rain Forest: People, Animals, and Facts:  A great site to answer any questions about people, animals, or any other facts from the rain forest.  There are also links on this site’s home page for kids’ games, mazes, stories, sounds, coloring, a video, etc. http://www.christiananswers.net/kids/rainforest/home.html

 

  1. Passport to the Rain Forest:  A very informative site for students and teachers.   1. Wealth of the Rain Forest:  This site has some good links to various databases, covering topics of facts, reports, pictures, products, etc. from the rain forest.  This site especially focuses on the use of the resources in the rain forest in our world today. http://www.rain-tree.com/

 

  1. Forest Conservation Portal:  A super site for keeping updated information on current happenings in the forests of the world.  This site provides access to many links containing news of forests in the world, including the rain forests. http://forests.org/

Tropical Rain Forest Coalition:  Provides news excerpts based on various rain forest issues.  Also gives several links, including facts, what schools can do to help, etc. A projects link explains several projects which have been set up world-wide to save the rain forests, and tells how you can help. http://www.rainforest.org/index.html
