We have been
discussing the role of the visionary artist in today’s society. I want to expand
on that and discuss how the visionary artist uses the materials available to
them to create unique works of art.
Here is your
challenge…visit a few of the following sites and explore how other artists have
incorporated found materials in their artwork.
After you
have visited these sites…
Look around YOUR
environment…
What has your family, your neighbors or your SCHOOL thrown away that you could use to
make art?
Decide what could easily be used and what might be more
difficult to recreate. What would you do with it? How do you think one of the
artists we have been discussing would use these materials? Get creative!
Remember our school is going green and the more we can reuse the less we just
throw away!!!
