Today society lives on the internet. It is not hard to get trapped into the many schemes out there. We receive messages all the time about winning all kinds of free merchandise, as well as vacations, money, and/or warnings of viruses that threaten to harm your computer. How does one determine which warnings are valid and which are just the virus themselves?  By opening the message?  This is not a chance worth taking.

Viruses are all different and do not attack computers in the same manner. They are in-affected until the virus is opened.

  1. TROJANS are masked programs that may be familiar.

  3. WORMS are viruses that copy themselves until the computer is overloaded and crashes.
  4. LOGIC BOMBS exist in the computer and not opened until it is triggered by a particular date or some random event.

  2. DO NOT open or install computer files or software that you re not familiar with and are not sure where it came from.
