Worksheets for Teachers

Everyday teachers all over the world make worksheets. In most cases these worksheets are on
the same type of information whether it be addition, spelling, or the digestive
system. These sites are
specifically related to elementary aged students. I hope teachers find the following
websites helpful the next time they are looking for something for a worksheet
for their students on a specific topic.
LANGUAGE
ARTS
Handwriting – This site provides a few wonderful worksheets that
students can use to practice their handwriting skills. The various options provide a picture,
lines for students to write on, and sentences to copy. The students then can spend any extra
time they have coloring the picture.
This site is for younger students who are just beginning to learn how to
write.

Spelling Word
Search – This site allows teacher to create their own word search by
putting in the weeks spelling words.
The computer generates a word search and even an answer key with the
words of your choice. This is a
great tool to use to give students a different way to practice spelling. This tool can be used at a variety of
levels with up to eighteen words.

MATH
Math Foundations – This site provides your basic math worksheets with
various kinds of numbers. This link
will take you to a specific page that deals with fourth grade math. Worksheets include things such as adding
and subtracting large numbers, roman numerals and working with fractions.

Mixed Math – This page provides teachers with worksheets for
second grade students working with various math concepts on the same
worksheet. The site offers a wide
variety of levels based on the time of the school year. Worksheets include activities such as
circling the largest number, putting numbers in order, and practicing addition
and subtraction. This site also
lets the teacher form their own worksheets by clicking on what topics they
would like covered.

SCIENCE
Water
Cycle – These
worksheets are geared towards fourth grade students that are working on
learning about the water cycle. The
work sheets mainly include labeling diagrams. This site is a member only site but you
can get a good look at the types of worksheets they have to offer.

Albert
Einstein – This page is a
group of seven worksheets all relating to Albert Einstein and the impact he
made on science. Worksheets include
a variety of activities including things such as a word search, crossword
puzzle and multiple choice questions.
These activities are for upper elementary school aged students.

SOCIAL
STUDIES

Maps – This website has a variety of different worksheets
with maps. These worksheets use
maps of a community in which students are asked a variety of questions. Students work on skills such as giving
and following directions, finding buildings in a grid and calculating
distances. This is geared towards
middle elementary grades.

Presidents – This site provides students with worksheets on
specifically Abraham Lincoln and George Washington. Students can work through crossword
puzzles, word searches, and word scrambles to learn more about two of the most
influential presidents the country has had. These puzzles are geared towards upper
elementary aged children.

HEALTH
Human
Body – This page
provides teachers with access to a few fun worksheets on fact of the human
body. These worksheets include
things like riddles on different organs, and study cards with information of
the body’s organs. This topic
is geared towards upper elementary school aged students.

Care – This website
offers a series of ten worksheets that students can work through to learn more
about keeping their teeth healthy.
