Reading

Magic Keys - This site actually has the books right on the screen to read to your child.  The books are the same as what we might see on Amazon but include the entire book.  I think that this may be an interesting site to use to incorporate “normal” classroom activities with the internet.

Grammar

Edu Place - This site provides online grammar quizzes for kids’ grades 2 through 5.  The questions mostly ask for you to pick the right part of the sentence.  This would be a great tool to use in addition to what is taught in the classroom or something that kids could practice with at home.

Date Visited:  09/16/2009  http://www.eduplace.com/kids/hme/k_5/quizzes/

Homework Hub - This site looks just like a whole bunch of grammar definitions but does offer more.  If you take a look on the side bar you will find some games that can help out with common errors that students make, such as not doubling a letter when a new ending is added or even editing a paper.  These would be great tools to reinforce what the teacher is teaching.
