The Dairy of a Wimpy Kid

Activity 5

 

Note to Teachers:

This lesson is constructed for students in fourth grade that are learning about using the internet in their everyday life.  This is the fifth of five total assignments that will be completed.  These activities will be geared towards the subjects of English and technology. 

 

 

 

 

Lesson

 

            During today’s lesson we will learn how to use a Venn diagram.  I would first like you all to click on the link below to read a little about Venn diagrams and then click on the picture of the Venn diagram to see more examples.  Although, you will see pictures containing many different circles today we are just going to take a look at the Venn diagram that contains two circles.

 

            After you have a good understanding of what a Venn diagram is I would like you to make your own.  I would like you to compare the characteristics of the main character from The Dairy of a Wimpy Kid to characteristics that you have.  Remember that if you and the main character share some of the same characteristics those should be written in the overlapping section of the two circles.
