Note to Teachers:

This lesson is constructed for students in fourth grade that are learning about using the internet in their everyday life. This is the third of five total assignments that will be completed. These activities will be geared towards the subjects of English and technology.

Lesson

During today’s lesson we are going to spend some time learning about the author Jeff Kinney. All of you should know by now that he wrote the book The Dairy of a Wimpy Kid. I would like you all to go onto his website and read a little information about his background and an interview that was done with him. I would also like all of us to watch a clip on him speaking.

For this assignment, I would like each of you to send Jeff Kinney an email. In the email, I would like you to talk a little bit about yourself, following the tips about blogging that we talked about yesterday. I would also like you to ask him three more questions about him being an author or the books that he writes. You will be graded on the grammar and writing ability that you use in your email.
