Target Heart Rates- This is a worksheet to practice calculating target heart rates using the maximal heart rate method. Good overall practice worksheet with adequate instructions and room for writing out the equations.

Resistance Training- The NSCA is the Nations leader and worldwide authority in strength and conditioning. This site provides users with free instructional videos to learn proper technique and weight lifting strategies. Teachers can ask students to review the lifts and quiz them on the muscles they utilize.

Fitness Testing- This site includes fitness assessments covering aerobic fitness, body composition, muscular strength & endurance and flexibility. Six recommended test that are in bold font are recommended by the authors. These assessments are can be integrated into daily warmups and/or cool downs.
Fitness Testing (Presidents Challenge)- This site includes several fitness assessments covering muscular strength/endurance, cardiovascular strength, flexibility, and aerobic/anaerobic strength.

Fitness Standards- This site charts the standards for the healthy fitness zone for both boys and girls by age. In a easy to read chart fitness categories that are most commonly used in physical education are across the top of the chart.
