Program Design:

Using the NSCA weight training videos, create a one week off-season resistance training program for your high school sports team. This may be for any sporting event such as, swimming, track & field, football, wrestling, basketball or baseball. Now remember, since it is off season, volume is high and intensity is low, so the reps & sets should be determined accordingly. Make sure to include each major muscle group and at least two supporting assisting exercises. Also, warm ups should be specific to the targeted muscle groups for that day, and cool downs should not be just passive stretching. Use the videos to determine the exercises and include precise instructions for new lifters with a brief summary of each of the muscles used during the lifts.
