Web Drop #5

Of The People

To supplement our study of the Constitution and the Federal Government, we will be taking a look at several web sites that have information on the structure of the government.  The first is by PBS and in addition to the page where you will be starting there is a town that you can visit to see how government affects your everyday life.

The next site is Ben’s Guide to the Federal Government by the US Government Printing Office.  You will be starting with the branches of the government and thoroughly exploring each of the links found for each of the three branches.

After visiting these sites and gaining a solid understanding about the organization of the Federal Government, you will fill in a chart that shows that information.  Yours should look similar to the one below, but with all the blanks filled in!

Make sure that your chart has the following information in the correct position:

Names of the three branches of government and what people or groups are in each branch.  Parts are filled in to help you get started.  There are questions at the bottom to complete once your chart is filled in completely.
