To Drive or Not to Drive……

One of the most important rites of passage to the high school student is getting a driver’s license. In the State of Maryland, as well as other states, this process is not as easy as it once was. In April of this year, the Maryland General Assembly passed four new bills that will affect the future of teen drivers. Read the articles at the following URLs to gain insight into the content of the bills and other’s reactions to them.

After reading the above articles, write two one page responses on the topic. The first response should be in favor of the changes that were approved by the General Assembly. The second response should be opposed to the changes. Be sure to include well thought out arguments in both pieces, not just emotional reactions. The reader should not be able to determine which response is the one you favor.
