The National Athletic Trainers’ Association’s mission is to enhance the quality of health care provided by certified athletic trainers and to advance the athletic training profession.  The association is made up of members that strive to keep up with the latest treatment techniques, research and technological advancements. 

 

 

Please read the following information concerning minimizing the risks of high school athletes as they participate in sports:

Now answer the following questions:

  1. How many weeks should an athlete engage in a conditioning program prior to the beginning of his or her sports practice?
  2. How can you prevent dehydration?
  3. What information should be included on an Emergency Medical Authorization Card?
  4. What is suggested to be on all sidelines for emergency/injury care?
  5. Name the specific guideline for each sport that you feel is most important.
