Web cams can be a great visual that adds to your lesson plan or simply to give you and your students something to discuss. Below is a list of five ideas that a physical education teacher could use in his or her classroom.
The Olympics – When that time of the year comes around, the Olympic can be a great motivator for getting your students more interested in athletics. But for those times in between, you can have your student look up and watch the athletes prepare at the Olympic Training Center.

Sporting Complexes – Through this website students can venture across the world and to visit sporting complexes. A lesson could be created based around these complexes, such as what sports different countries have and what affects that countries culture has on sports.

Gym Webcams – Teaching a strength training class? Well here is a good way to have your students get familiar with gym equipment that your school doesn’t have. Watching these gym web cams, students will learn how to use different equipment, how to correct improper technique, and how different people strength training differently.

Baseball – When teaching a unit on baseball, it is hard to be able to take a field trip to a Professional field. Here is your chance. Have your students look at the different ball parks located on this website through the webcams. You could teach them about the size and location of the field. Or have them watch a game and practice keeping score.

Weather – So what does weather have to do with physical education class? The answer is a lot. You told by your students that on Friday you are going outside to play football. They’ve been looking forward to it all week. But rumor has it, it is suppose to rain. Now they can check it out for themselves! They can see live weather forecasts for your area. Then they will know if they will be playing football outside as planned.
