LESSON PLANS!

Teachers are constantly searching for new ideas to teach their subject material.  One way to prevent burn out of your old lessons plans is to search for new ideas on the Internet.  Here are some sites that may offer a new twist on your old ideas.

PEC: Health and Physical Education Lesson Plans. The PE Central web site is a great resource.  On first glance it is easy to use by choosing an area of PE.  Then within that area, a teacher has the ability to refine the search even more by sub-category.  This is a great resource for finding lesson plans on specific material.

The Lesson Plans Page – Physical Education & Health Lesson Plans, PE Ideas, & PE Activities.  This web site is very useful to physical education teachers.  This site is unique because not only does it contain PE lesson plans, it also contains lesson plans that have connections to other subject areas.

Physical Education Lesson Plans.  Not only does this site include PE lesson plans, it also gives information concerning current events in physical activity, such as the Olympics, to information regarding behavior management.  The lesson plans that can be viewed on this page are relevant and easy to understand.

LessonPlanz.com :: Lesson Plans: Physical Education.  Offering lessons by grade level, this site provides a minimal number of lessons for the physical educator.  The lessons span different topics of physical education including improving motor skills and learning about the effects of exercise on the body.

LESSON PLANET – Many ‘Health’ related lesson plans reviewed by teachers.  This web site gives extensive information on health and physical fitness lessons.  It is easy to view and navigate.  The site can be examined by list or narrowed by grade level and ratings given by other teachers.  The downfall to this site is that you must be a member and it costs $19.95 for a year.
