Teacher note: Before starting this unit, students will work in pairs to complete the Extended Anticipation Guide below. The guide is designed to activate prior knowledge of concepts and introduce vocabulary.

After completing Part 1, students must figure out how to navigate through four sections of the site to find the answers to the questions.

EXTENDED ANTICIPATION GUIDE: VAN GOGH UNIT

Part 1

Part 2

To find information that will help you determine if your answers are correct, you and your partner will make a virtual visit to the Metropolitan Museum of Modern Art in New York.

Once there, read the two introductory pages of "How Van Gogh Made His Mark". Then, enter the main site.You and your partner will need to use the navigation buttons to explore the following sections of the site to search for your answers:
