Welcome to
To celebrate the current Dada exhibition at The National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC.(Feb 19 - May 13, 2006), we'll visit the NGA web site and expand our ideas about what art is!
Dada was a worldwide movement or "anti-art" movement that was, in part, a response to World War I. Dada challenged all art and traditions that existed before it. Everything was art. Nothing was art. This movement that proclaimed "Art is Dead" changed the course of modern art.
