Point of view is the
position that the narrator of the story takes.
By looking at stories from points of view of different characters, we
are able to look at different aspects of the story. Today you will read The
Little Red Riding Hood; first from Little Red Riding Hood’s point of view and
then from the wolf’s point of view. You
will record facts about the stories on the chart listed below and you will
examine the stories for similarities and differences.
Print out the chart
located HERE. You will use it to record facts about
elements in the story and about similarities and conclusions. Read the two
stories listed below and complete the chart.
The following are websites that you will visit to complete this
activity:

Hood’s point of view) –

Now that you have a better
understand of point of view, you will use this skill in writing workshop. Choose a fairytale and rewrite it from the
villain’s point of view in your writing notebook. If you need help choosing a story, please see
me for suggestions. You will have the
rest of the week to write, revise, and edit your story.
