The Biology Corner- {from site} The Lesson Plans section contains classroom activities,
labs and worksheets. The worksheets are intended for older students, preferably
middle school age. There is a huge variety of science topics covered on the
site and available in worksheet form to print out. One of my favorites on the
site was about natural selection. The URL is: http://www.biologycorner.com/worksheets/naturalselection.html
The Science Spot- This site
contains lesson plan ideas, worksheets for different areas of science, trivia
questions, group and club projects, puzzles and crosswords, nature facts and an
area where teachers can share different ideas for lesson plans. For my 7th
grade students, I would go with this activity about fungus:

Middle School Science-
This site features a listing of activities and lesson plans for middle school
teachers that focus on science. Some of the sub-categories include physics,
chemistry, earth sciences and life sciences. There is a focus on astronomy and
constellations which includes many great activities. Two of my favorites were
one on soil: http://weather.nmsu.edu/Teaching_Material/soil456/soiltexture/soiltext.htm
and one on creating a geologic time line of the Earth: http://www.microbeworld.org/mlc/gifs/activities/pgs7-10.pdf

Helen Worksheet- These activities are designed to show succession where a
volcano has erupted. Students get to see the succession from several points of
view: human, biologic and geologic. The activities are designed for grades 4-8
with more challenging activity links for grades 9-12. One worksheet to learn
volcanic terms is this: http://volcano.und.nodak.edu/vwdocs/msh/llc/hr/hrho/vvw.html

The Curriculum Archive- This
site offers lesson plans and worksheets for many grade levels and subjects. It
has rating from teachers that have used the plans so that you can see how well
they go over with kids. All of these activities are posted by the teachers that
have designed them. This is one on density for grades 5-8. It describes the
activity and states that the worksheet should be a data collection sheet: http://www.buildingrainbows.com/CA/lesson/lessonid/1070293332
and this activity called Hot Rot: http://www.buildingrainbows.com/CA/lesson/lessonid/1069775012
has a data sheet printout at: http://askeric.org/Virtual/Lessons/Science/Physical_Sciences/PHY0202.pdf
Hurricane

It teaches them about hurricanes past and present. You can learn about
historically destructive storms and do interactive activities on the web. Kids
will enjoy it because it is designed like a video game. Printable worksheets
