Occupational Therapy Treatment Planning

            We have discussed many practice settings where occupational therapists practice.  We have also discussed general treatment planning for each of the diagnostic groups.  For this activity you will develop a treatment plan of your own.

 

Directions: 

  1. Select a practice setting, diagnosis, and specific treatment intervention.  You may get ideas from the American Occupational Therapy Association or Advance for Occupational Therapists websites.
  2. Use a flow chart to represent a treatment intervention.  Consider if the patient’s response is positive or negative as the patient progresses through the session.
  3. You may use the flow chart below or design your own. 
  4. Be prepared to discuss your treatment session with the class
