
Clipart can really enhance any website, handout,
or activity, so teachers should be aware of the resources available on the web
that offer clipart. Below are links to
some great sites I found in my searches.
Discovery
Channel School’s Clip Art Gallery- This collection of clipart is free, easy
to search, and great for instructional use.
You can search by subject to find the clipart you are looking for. Many academic subjects are included as well

Microsoft
Design Gallery Live Clip Art- This is a wonderful
site that provides a variety of clip art, sounds, animation, and useful
“teacher” templates. It also
allows you to download your clipart directly to your clipart folder in
Microsoft Word. You can search by
subject, or enter your own specific search.

Barry’s
Clip Art Server- This site offers free clip art in a numerous categories
and also allows you to enter your own search.
There a myriad of educational pictures and the site is easy to
navigate. http://www.barrysclipart.com/
About: Clip
Art- This provides you with countless links to find the clip art you are
looking for. You can search for
virtually anything and About will provide you with
great links. Most of the clip art is
free, but About will instruct you if you need to get
permission to use any images. This site
takes a bit more time to navigate because of the many links, but if you have
the time, it’s worth it. http://webclipart.about.com/
Awesome Clipart for Kids!-
This site is an excellent resource for students, teachers, and their
families. This site has free clipart for
a variety of topics including education, holidays, weather, etc. It also offers borders, wallpaper, a
worksheet maker, and fun activities for kids including coloring pages. This site is easy to navigate and fun to
use. Great for
