Michael Jordon and Kelly Slater have both accomplished what no others have done in the sports of basketball and surfing. Michael Jordon is one of the most recognized names of any athlete in the world. Throughout the surfing community, Kelly Slater has been referred to as the “Michael Jordon of surfing”. Both athletes career have mirrored each others in many ways.

Activity

For this activity, you will visit the following websites on Michael Jordon and Kelly Slater. Read the articles and compare and contrast the two athletes. Using Inspiration software, create a graphic organizer showing the relationship and differences between the two athletes. Later, you will then use this diagram to compose a short paper on what you think makes a great athlete.
