FINDING MEAN, MEDIAN AND
MODE
Earlier in
the year, we discussed statistics, and various types of graphs. We will now be discussing three different
ways to interpret data on a graph. These
three ways are:
· Mean
· Median
· Mode
Your
job is to:
1.
Visit the Definitions
website to find out what these three words mean, and how to figure them
out. Write notes in your math journal if
necessary.
2.
Refresh your
memory on bar, line, and circle graphs by visiting the Graphic
Organizers website. Once you have
done this, find the mean, median and mode for the three graphs that are shown
on the page. Cut and paste the table
below onto a Microsoft word document and fill it in. Print out a hard copy and place the completed
table in the completed assignments basket.
Do work in your math journal if necessary.
