All search engines listed are
what I have found to be the best out there.
I did want to point out that the Kids Search engines are safe for any
user. However, a filter may need to be
placed on the other search engines for them to be completely suitable for all
ages.
General
Search Engines 
I may have
to personally vote this search engine as the best out there right now. When a topic is entered, pages upon pages of
websites are listed in order by how often the site is visited. This is the search engine that I use most
frequently, and I have never had a problem researching any topic entered. Date visited:

engine is a very close runner up to Google.
This also lists websites in order by how often they are visited, after
the topic has been entered in the search box.
Many results are given, but it does not give as many as Google. There also seems to be more websites that
appear that are off the topic that is entered.

Safe Search Engines 
Yahooligans! is the number one search engine for children
looking to find information on a variety of topics. Not only can youngsters type in the topic of
their choice, but they can narrow the category down as well to math, language
arts, science, etc. to help get the best results. Along with this, children can find jokes, get
their horoscopes, or even find out what age-appropriate television shows are

This search engine is one of the best at giving a plethora of
results to children. Students can type
in the topic of their choice and many options come up dealing with the subject
that was entered. Children can narrow
their search even more by subject, including life skills and computers. The results given are very useful, and easy

This is the perfect search engine for teachers. All that needs to be done is the simple input
of a topic, and many results are given.
Educators also have the option of narrowing the search down by subject
and grade level. Teachers can choose
from the lesson of their choice that best fits the needs of their children, and
their teaching style. Even better,
teachers can find many games and learning centers to go with the lesson of

This search engine allows a person to search through current
events in various countries. It also
allows for the user to search for topics on the news or in the web. Finally the search can be narrowed down into
