How Can I Prevent Spam?

There are a few things that you can do to prevent and rid yourself of spam. First, never open an email message from a name or address that you are not familiar with, for it could be a scam. Once a spammer sees that you have opened their spam, they know that the address is viable and will start sending you all kinds of spam and from all kinds of addresses. Just delete it! Some Internet email accounts give you the option to block an address. If you have that option, then you can block an address of a spammer. If by chance you open an email and it is spam, you can report it to your service provider. If the spammer gives you the option to unsubscribe to their messages, don’t do it. Unfortunately, it is usually another spam technique! If all else fails and you can’t take it any more look into your state laws and take it from there.
