The Mission of the Media Center

 The Media Center provides all members of the school community with access to information, reading material, research assistance, and encouragement for literacy in order to become lifelong learners.

Our Vision

The vision of the Fields Road Media Center is to ensure that students and staff are effective users of ideas and information.  The Media Center will provide all members of the school community with access to information, reading and research assistance in order to become lifelong learners.  The Media Center also provides instruction that implements, enriches and supports the educational curriculum and educational goals in Montgomery County Public Schools.  The Media Center Program will encourage literacy and literature appreciation by extending and enhancing classroom experiences. 

Supporting reading for personal satisfaction is a priority of the Media Center.  The Media staff will provide a wide variety of fiction and non-fiction as well as print and non-print materials intended to engage readers.
