The Math Forum- Teacher Exchange
This site was
created by Drexel University. The
lesson plans are categorized by grade levels (PreK-2, 3-5) and then by topics
such as operations, geometry, and measurement. Lessons are concise and include
links to resources to use with a particular lesson. If a worksheet is mentioned
in the lesson, it is provided. Some
lessons link to online manipulatives and games. This site also has math
resources such as “Ask Dr. Math” and a discussion board in which topics can be
discussed such as, “Is a rhombus a kite?”

Teacher.net-Lesson
Bank-Mathematics
This site has a
listing of almost 400 math ideas. It is
not categorized for easy use but each lesson link is described as Kindergarten,
Elementary, or Middle. There are some
formal lesson plans, but most links are ideas for fun math exploration.
Teacher.net also has lessons for other subjects.

Although this site
doesn’t have the sheer number of lessons of other sites, its lessons are
inspired. 2nd graders would
love to play Pokemon are Smart and Healthy. Lessons are categorized by
topics such as Arithmetic, Applied Math, Geometry, and Measurement. Each lesson annotation includes a good
description of the lesson and the grade level. Education World covers other
subject areas, has many teacher resources, and allows teachers to submit lesson
plan ideas.

Lesson Plan Z groups
lessons first by grade level and then by math topic. Each topic link annotation
includes the number of lessons provided. Some lessons are written formally and
others are quick, fun ideas. Lessons are hands-on, motivational, and easy to
implement. The user can rate the
lessons, which are said to be checked and updated on a regular basis. Lesson
Plan Z covers other subject areas, provides numerous teacher resources, and has
a teacher chat forum.
