Awesome Library:  It is not clear exactly what the background is of the gentleman who maintains this site, but the page provides a large collection of pages linking to social studies lesson plans for all grades.  The author of this site purports to have checked out all the sources listed, and evaluated and chosen them according to the standards provided elsewhere within the web site.  The page includes links to lesson plans for elementary students on topics such as ending world hunger, Things Friends Do, and heros.  Date visited April 25, 2004.

Educational Resources and Lesson Plans:  Developed by a professor at The College of St. Benedict/St. John’s University in Minnesota for the college’s education students, this page lists sources of lesson plans for many subjects and all grade levels including elementary social studies, history and geography.  This page links to the professor’s history, geography and social studies pages that, in turn, provide a huge number of links to pages containing lessons plans in these subjects for all grades.

Instructional Materials in Social Studies:  This is a web page developed by the Community Learning Network (which appears to be part of Open School BC - British Columbia, Canada, “a developer of distance education and distributed learning materials”) to help integrate technology into the classroom.  Some of the large number of K-12 social studies related pages listed are Canadian ones, which makes for an interesting change of focus.  Date visited April 25, 2004.

Amazing note.  I first found this site with another search engine and under the url: http://web.inonu.edu.tr/~ikram/Plans.htm which I discovered was a web page posted by a professor at Inonu University In TURKEY!  I thought it was amazing that this professor had developed this page.  Apparently, he just copied it from the above referenced web page, and removed a few of the links.  Weird.
