Travel back to a time when the Nation was divided

There were many political and social events that fueled the Civil War; including tariffs, sectionalism, and most notably slavery. Take virtual fieldtrips to the websites below for a civil war experience, and learn about the causes of the War, and its effect on our Nation.

 

Destination 1-Civil War Battlefield Tour- Discover Civil War History by touring these battle sites. Take the Civil War Battlefield tour from Fort Sumpter where the first shot was fired, to Antietam, the costliest day in American military history. Conclude you tour in Gettysburg, where you may view the original drafts of the Gettysburg Address.
