The sun and the nine planets that orbit it are the main
components of our solar system. As we
begin our study of the solar system, we need to find out more about these
planets.
When you click on the link below, http://www.worldalmanacforkids.com/explore/space.html,
it will bring up a diagram of the solar system. In the space below the link, the sun is provided for you. Using the diagram, draw and label the
planets in order, from the sun out.

Now, we need to find out more about these planets that
circle our sun. Click on the

information about each of the planets.
Within the site, you will need to click on each planet name and read
about it. Use the information to
complete the chart below and answer the question at the bottom. You will need to use the back arrow after
you are finished reading about each planet to get back to the planet list.
