Internet Use Agreement
As your
teacher, I have several jobs to do every time you get on the Internet at
school. I need to make sure that I’ve
prepared a lesson that will allow the use of technology and encourage
learning. I need to make sure I have a
link for a functioning site ready. I
need to make sure I’ve reserved the computer lab or assigned time at the
station in the classroom. There are more
jobs that I also do. However, I know
that when all my jobs are complete, we will have a fun, learning-filled
experience. That’s my reward. You have some responsibilities too. When you and your parent sign this agreement,
you are agreeing to take on the responsibility so that you can enjoy the
rewards. Please read carefully and
sign.
§
I
will log on as myself and keep my password safe. I will not try to log on as someone else.
§
I
will follow the teacher’s directions and visit the sites that are approved. I will not visit any other sites.
§
I
will not use Instant Messaging, e-mail or any other
computer communication software without specific permission from a
teacher.
§
I
will be respectful of the people and the
machines involved in my technology experience.
§
I
will use my time wisely online.
§
I
will keep my personal information to myself. I will never share my full name, address,
telephone number, parents’ work numbers or addresses, or school name, phone
number or address.
§
I
know that working online at school is a privilege. I will uphold my responsibilities so that I
can continue to warrant
the rewards.
§
I
will put my best effort into my time on the
computer and online so that I can enjoy the experience and learn at the
same time.
