Key Pals and E-Pals

 

Here are Five Ways to Use Key Pals and E-Pals in a

Second Grade Classroom

 

1.         Use them to connect and email key-pals from around the globe.

2.        Use them to collaborate with and work on a research or informative project.

3.        Connect students with a wide variety of professionals called web mentors.

4.        Adopt a grandparent and write emails to them.

5.        Use them to work on writing skills and email or communication etiquette

E-Pals.com Classroom Exchange – Although this website is not free, it is only $14.00 and seems to be worth the money.  There is a lot of information about E-Pals and the ways in which it can be used.  There is also information about the history and allows registered teachers to collaborate.

E-Pals Club – This free website allows teachers to register to use this site.  Students, teachers, and classes are able to connect with people around the world and collaborate with them on a variety of projects.
