Worksheets for Instruction
This is a rubric generator that allows teachers to enter their information and create a rubric to assess team work. The personalized rubrics are thorough and contain many categories, allowing teachers to effectively assess their students. This can be a very effective assessment tool for physical education teachers, where team sports and therefore team work is often stressed.

Teachers can create a personalized participation rubric. The rubrics can contain pictures and include categories such as behavior, listening skills, attendance, and level of engagement. Because PE teachers often rely heavily on participation for grading, rubrics such as these can help that process, as well as make the student aware of the various criteria they are being graded on in terms of participation.

Similar to the other rubrics from Teach-nology, these can be personalized according to school and teacher. The rubrics are very detailed and assess the students in multiple categories. These printable rubrics can be used to assess students in Health or PE presentations.

This PE Central site gives teachers a portal to a variety of PE assessment worksheets. Once at this page, teachers can choose from a relatively large list of team sports and other units. After selecting a unit, they are taken to a list of all the available assessment sheets in that category. The grade levels are also listed so that the teacher can choose appropriately.

This page, also from PE Central, again allows the teacher to choose from a variety of categories to obtain printable worksheets and other ideas. The worksheets are mostly in PDF format. Along with the worksheets, some categories also supply the visitor with assessment worksheets as well.

A large number of Health/PE unit worksheets are available at this Discovery Channel site. Teachers choose from a number of worksheets dealing with nutrition, safety, and fitness. The worksheets are fairly simple and they seem to be mostly matching or scramble. The grade level for these worksheets seems to range from fourth to seventh grade.

While this site has some PE material, it focuses primarily on health. There are a lot of health matching and scramble worksheets. The material is for a wide range of ages, going from elementary to early high school. The physical education worksheets are all fitness related, while the health worksheets cover many areas of study.

This is an excellent resource for creating rubrics that teachers can not only use to grade students, but to also clearly convey to students how they are being graded. Rubrics can be very useful in health and PE for grading oral presentations or writing assignments. This website allows teachers to choose the category of rubric they desire. The teacher then enters the criteria or categories that will be graded and the comments. The website takes that information and organizes it into a rubric.

This website allows teachers to create a checklist specifically for oral presentations. The site is for grades fifth through eighth. The checklists are customizable; teachers can enter their name and the project name, select the categories they want, and enter descriptions. Checklists such as the ones created on this site can be very useful, especially for health teachers where presentations are a good way for students to demonstrate to the rest of the class what they have worked on.
