LESSON PLANS

The following five Web sites are useful sources of lesson plans for teachers of middle school math.  Yahoo and Google was used to conduct a web search and these are my favorites:

Mathgoodies.com
- I liked this site because it was very user friendly.  Categories  and the number of lessons for each category are displayed. Date Visited- 3/27/04

Illuminations.com- This site assists in creating effective Standards-based mathematics lessons. The National Council of teachers of mathematics developed this site to go along with the national standards.  Now with the No Child Left Behind Federal law in effect, it is important to be up on the standards and to teach lessons that have activities that are made to these standards. Teacher and student versions of each activity are provided. These lesson plans can be viewed in two ways. To view a web version of the resources click on the  buttons.
