A Comparison with Byzantine Art (Medieval Period)

For each piece of art shown consider the following questions:

1. What is/are the subject(s) of the painting?
2. What colors are used?
3. What can you determines about the size of the figures?
4. How realistic are these paintings? Consider the pose.
5. What symbols are used? What message(s) do/does the artist convey?
6. What themes or issues were important to both the artist and their audience?

7. Write a BCR comparing the art works of the two periods. What do they have in common? How are they different?
