Teacher Sites
Mrs. Crockett’s Third Grade – Mrs. Crockett created her web page for her third grade
elementary school class. She highlights
all subjects that are covered on the Elementary level. The website is extremely useful for her
students. She includes her classroom
expectations, current spelling lists, accelerated reading lists and exciting
Internet links for her students to try out.
Commendations:
- Easy for students to navigate through
website and very organized
- She has her students do webfolios and
posts them on the site. Very
creative and different for an elementary classroom.
- Provides a link so that parents and
students can email.
Recommendations:
- The writing on some of the pages is a
tad too small. I would make my
font a little larger so that students will be able to read the material easily.
- School lunch link was bad. I would make sure this is accessible at
all times.
- Maybe add a little more color, but not
vital.
Mrs. Lewis’s Science Website
– Mrs. Lewis’s created her website for her
Biology, Anatomy and Physiology, and Integrated Science high school
students. The site seems very useful
for her students. For each class she
provides a full syllabus online.
Commendations:
- She explains her personal experience
with pregnancy to relate to her science classes.
- A link is provided for online textbook
help for some of her classes.
- The site is simple and easily
understood.
Recommendations:
- Add a little bit more flare, graphics,
color
- Could have announcements on the homepage
for upcoming events or assignments that are due.
- Provide a place for students to email
her with questions or concerns.
